Position Overview:
The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of commercial projects, with a focus on healthcare, commercial, and religious buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong construction management skills and experience in these specific sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the construction process of commercial projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Manage and enforce safety protocols on job sites
- Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any issues that may arise
- Ensure quality control and compliance with building codes and regulations
- Manage and track project budgets and expenses
- Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation and records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction.
- Nice to have - healthcare, commercial, and religious building project experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and project management abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
- OSHA certification is a plus
