In this role, you, as the Construction Estimator will analyze project plans and specifications to accurately determine the costs of materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and Vendors to develop precise estimates, which are crucial for bidding, budgeting, and project planning.
All Projects are Tilt Wall and/or Structural Steel. Large self storage facilities, warehouses, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating Costs:
Calculate the total cost of a project based on blueprints, specifications, and other relevant information.
Material Takeoff: Quantify and list all materials required for a project.
Negotiating Prices:
Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure the best possible prices.
Cost Analysis:
Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and manage project expenses.
Budgeting: Develop and maintain accurate project budgets, providing updates and forecasts.
Collaboration:
Work with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Reporting:
Prepare detailed cost reports for clients and stakeholders.
Risk Assessment:
Identify and assess potential risks to the project's timeline and budget.
Bid Preparation:
Develop and submit accurate bids for construction projects.
Staying Updated:
Keep up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in cost estimation.
