Position Overview
The Controller will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of financial resources. This role is critical in guiding the company's financial strategy and supporting its growth through sound financial practices. We are seeking a hands-on accounting leader with extensive construction industry experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company's financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial targets are met.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Manage cash flow and optimize working capital through effective cash management practices.
• Oversee construction accounting processes including WIP, job costing, and percentage of completion calculations.
• Coordinate audit activities and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.
• Lead variance analysis and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Support project management through financial insights and cost control measures.
• Utilize ERP systems for accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced in using ERP systems, specifically Sage 100.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cash flow and perform tax preparation.
• Experience in managing AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on internal controls and audit coordination.
