Software Engineering Manager
Salary: $180,000 - $240,000 DOE
Location: Remote (USA only)

As we scale, we're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing software team building products that have real-world impact.
In this role, you'll lead a team of 4 engineers while remaining hands-on with code and architecture around 30-50% of the time. You'll guide team culture, help drive technical decisions, and play a critical role in shaping product delivery across a modern web stack.
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Own delivery of high-impact projects by managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional collaboration.
Stay hands-on with code and architecture-designing scalable systems with Node.js, React.js, and AWS services.
Guide technical decision-making and promote best practices in system design and software development.
Work closely with product and engineering leadership to align team efforts with company goals.
Drive continuous improvement through feedback, metrics, and agile development methodologies.
5+ years of professional experience in software development.
2+ years in an engineering leadership or management role, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering results.
Strong technical background in Node.js, React.js, and AWS.
Deep understanding of system architecture, microservices, and the full software development lifecycle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-able to navigate between technical discussions and strategic business conversations.
Passion for mentoring engineers and helping teams grow in fast-paced startup environments.
