Geotechnical Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, analyzing soil and rock properties, and providing design solutions for various civil engineering projects. The role requires a strong understanding of geotechnical principles and the ability to apply them in practical scenarios to ensure the safety and stability of structures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct geotechnical investigations and site characterization studies.
Analyze soil and rock samples through field and laboratory testing.
Design foundations and earth retention systems for various construction projects.
Perform slope stability analyses and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Implement ground improvement techniques to enhance site conditions.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with civil engineers and other professionals on project design and execution.
Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes related to geotechnical engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
Proficiency in foundation design and geotechnical investigation techniques.
Strong knowledge of environmental engineering principles and construction materials.
Experience with slope stability analysis and rock mechanics.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
