Position Overview
We are a rapidly expanding general contractor and MEP subcontractor based in Charlotte, NC, specializing in data center, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial projects across NC, SC, and VA.

We are looking for a dynamic MEP Project Manager with a proven track record in managing commercial, industrial, advanced technology, and/or infrastructure projects from start to finish. Successful candidates will have expertise in managing budgets, timelines, and resources, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You should be skilled at building strong relationships with stakeholders, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and mitigating risks to successfully achieve project goals. We seek individuals known for their ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget through effective planning and creative problem-solving, all while maintaining high personal and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management: Oversee on-site construction operations, manage subcontractors and staff, address issues promptly, and ensure effective communication. Foster team development by mentoring and supporting growth opportunities.
Project Management: Lead projects from initial planning through to completion, work to optimize margins without sacrificing quality, manage equipment purchases and contracts, and ensure accurate financial forecasting.
Safety and Quality Assurance: Enforce safety protocols, maintain compliance with industry standards, and regularly inspect work to ensure high-quality execution. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues as they arise.
Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and manage project timelines, coordinate site logistics, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
Reporting and Documentation: Track daily progress and key performance indicators, and provide leadership with regular updates on project status, risks, and challenges.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in MEP project management
Ability to travel to job sites 2-3 days/ week as needed, mostly in NC, SC, and VA
Strong knowledge of technical systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, and security systems is considered a plus
OSHA 30-hour, CPR, First Aid. LEED AP or PMP certification is a plus.
