Title: Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: Elgin, IL
Salary: $80,000 - $140,000/year Base Salary

We have designed, built, installed, and maintained our clients projects, systems, and facilities. We have a variety of national clients in renewables, data centers, oil and gas, food and beverage, manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Estimate material, personnel, and time requirements to complete projects.
  2. Examine work orders to determine appropriate course of action.
  3. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
  4. Provide start to finish support and follow-up to customers and the project foreman to ensure company quality and performance standards are reached.
  5. Perform take-offs.
  6. Draft change orders.
  7. Order material and parts.
  8. Use computer systems to enter, access or retrieve data.
  9. Complete appropriate forms, reports, and other required paperwork.
  10. Work closely with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate billing is conducted.
  11. Attend staff and sales meetings.
  12. Communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates, or customers to provide/receive information by telephone, two-way radio, in written form, in person or by email.
  13. Request and be present for municipality inspections

What You Will Need For This Position

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent and I.D.
  2. Knowledgeable with the National Electric Code, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Project), MasterBuilder, and Accubid.
  3. Knowledgeable and experienced with A/C & D/C motors, A/C & D/C variable speed drive systems, motors (single and three phase), motor control systems, P.L.C. systems, process control systems, and industrial electronics, circuit boards, computer hardware and machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, maintenance, and safe operation..
  4. OSHA safety standards.
  5. Experienced with techniques and standards of installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  6. Knowledgeable and experienced with techniques and standards of repairing, testing, adjusting, or installing electronic equipment, such as, industrial controls, motors, variable frequency drive systems, motor controls, P.L.C. systems, process control systems and industrial electronics, circuit boards.
